Our team Watson which is within the product area Traffic & Users in the domain Data Platform is currently looking for a Software Engineer (m|f|x). This position is available full-time or part-time.

About your new role

  • As part of the Data Platform domain and Team Watson, you provide a strong foundation for business growth on cloud-based infrastructure and robust platform products.
  • You work on our AWS-based services, focusing on designing and continuously enhancing applications.
  • While driving the ongoing improvement of our main product ‘Identity Resolution’, which unites data from different digital channels for a more complete picture of our customers, you also guarantee data security and integration to facilitate our data-driven approach.
  • You deliver testable, maintainable, and high-quality code and take operational responsibility for the components that you develop.

Skills & Requirements

Tech Skills

  • You bring in several years of professional experience in developing applications with Typescript and you are comfortable with JVM based programming languages, such as Java or Kotlin.
  • You are proficient with the development, design, deployment and maintenance of cloud-based applications.
  • You have extensive experience with core AWS services, such as Lambdas, SQS, SNS, S3 - experience with Kafka and Aiven is a plus.
  • Programming skills in Python and interest in data engineering are beneficial.

Mindset and People Skills

  • You proactively seek and integrate feedback to foster personal and professional development, while excelling in an environment that supports your growth, initiative and creativity.
  • Great communication skills in English complete your profile. This allows you to exchange, discuss and share knowledge with colleagues and stakeholders.

idealo allows you to work from wherever you are. As part of our Hybrid Work at idealo, you decide whether and how often you work from our office in Berlin or remotely because you live in another city within Germany or the café down the street makes the best coffee cream.
